A Look at Upcoming Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles for 2025

Now every type of vehicle offers hybrid models to their lineup; this goes from SUVs, sedans, minivans, sports cars, and pickup trucks. Also, the conventional hybrids, like in the Prius plug-in hybrid (PHEVs), consist of large batteries and will need to be plugged in to fully charge; also, it can be driven in fully electric modes on a few ranges of miles. Here is a list of new hybrids and plug-in hybrids that are or will be in the showrooms, especially in the United States, by 2025.

2025 Bentley Continental GT

The Bentley Continental GT is one helluva plugin hybrid. It comes with a 4.0-liter V8 engine configured with electric motors, making over 771 horsepower and 778 pound-feet of torque. The estimated may be similar to the one on the Flying Spurs; the price starts at around $305,000, going up to $335,000.

2025 BMW M5 Touring

The BMW M5 Touring debuts in the US as a plug-in hybrid. It features a roomy cargo area, and its power comes from a 4.0-liter V8 and an electric motor that combine power to produce 717 horsepower and 739 pounds-feet of torque. it’s Performance is estimated to take 3.2 seconds to hit 60 mph. Its price starts at $122,600, and the estimated range on EV is 25 miles.

2025 Honda Civic Hybrid

At a starting price of $30,000, the Honda Civic comes in either a sedan. It features an Atkinson cycle 2.0-liter four-cylinder and electric motors generating 200 horsepower and 238 pounds-feet of torque. It’s quicker and more fuel efficient. The mpg gained by the Civic hybrid is 49 mpg combined.

2025 Lamborghini Urus SE

This is the most hybrid car model that people can only dream of. This Italian-bred SUV features one of a few electric motors, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with a total combined output of 789 horsepower and 701 pounds-feet of torque. Its performance is significantly higher, hitting 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 189 mph. In electric mode it can exceed a 30-mile range. The price can roughly start at $263,000.

2025 Mercedes AMG GT63 S Coupe

The Mercedes AMG GT63 S Coupe features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine. Its E Performance version combines the gas engine and an electric motor, producing up to 805 horsepower and 1047 pounds-feet of torque that drives on all-wheel-drive traction. It can only travel 8 miles on electric.

2025 Toyota Crown Signia

The Crown Signia becomes the first SUV version that made it into the United States market. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder with three electric motors both combine to produce 240 horsepower. The signal comes as an all-wheel drive, and the EPA said it will get 38 MPG combined. The pricing starts at $45,000 going up to $49,400.
